Construction has commenced on Chiodo's $17.5 million 'Ei8ht' townhome development in Ashburton, in Melbourne's south-east.
Eight three-storey townhouses will each include a personal lift and choice of wine cellar or theatre room in the basement.
Franco Builders has been appointed to construct the townhomes, which were designed by architecture and design practice, Studio Mint. Chiodo has also partnered with prefab manufacturer Nextform to deliver an efficient, low-risk, low-waste build.
"Ei8ht townhomes are inspired by the traditional character of Ashburton," says Chiodo founder and principal Paul Chiodo. "We wanted to pay tribute to the suburb's diversity, incorporating the big city feel with small town charm."
Ei8ht residences offer a number of functional benefits, from individual lock-up garages to private storage space and internal elevators. Kitchens have been designed for easy entertaining.
The remaining residences are priced from $1.7 to $2.2 million and the completion date is set for December 2021.
