Victoria’s new Building Regulations 2018 will be unpacked at this week’s Fire Protection Association Australia (FPA Australia) Victorian member forum, taking place on the Thursday 28 June at the FPA Australia national office in Melbourne.
The member forum will explore what this important update to Victoria’s building legislation means for the fire protection industry. The Regulations came into effect on 2 June 2018, and will affect all sectors of the industry that intend to undertake building work or have dealings in the carrying out of building work in Victoria.
Important updates on national issues affecting the fire protection industry will also be covered, and the forum also offers an opportunity to have your say on these issues and more.
The member forum will include:
- welcome and introduction
- STMG Leadership Group update
- overview of the new Victorian Building Regulations 2018, in particular focusing on the changes that relate to fire protection
- FPA Australia national update, and
- an open forum.
The forum will run this Thursday 28 June 12:30pm to 2:30pm, and lunch will be provided.
